There are some coincidences here. The two times Batista has won the Royal Rumble, he was the 28th entrant. This is the 28th Royal Rumble in history, so the stars definitely align for a surprise return to the WWE after quitting Evolution in May of 2014.
After recently being announced as the next James Bond villain, and his success of Guardians Of The Galaxy, Batista won’t be back full time ever again as he’ll be in demand constantly in Hollywood now. The Rumble is all about cameo appearances and returns, and it would be great to see Batista in a WWE ring once again.
Speaking of being a villain, Batista would have to be one after the debacle last year of having him winning it to set up a possible Randy Orton v. Batista main event at WrestleMania 30. We all know how that story played out, so if Batista makes a surprise return at the Rumble, one should expect boo’s. Of course now that he’s Drax, he’ll probably get cheers when we’re expecting boo’s.
